Description

Job Summary
Pre-Op Registered Nurse in Chattanooga, TN. This position entails preparing surgical patients for procedures and providing phase 2 recovery in a busy hospital unit. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team utilizing advanced equipment and technology.

Job Details

Location: Chattanooga, TN
Specialty: Pre-Operative (Pre Op) Registered Nurse
Shift: Days, with schedules including 3-12 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts; shift start times typically range from 5:30 am to 7:00 am.
Schedule: 36 hours per week, minimum of 36 hours.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, PALS; graduate of accredited nursing program; current RN license in state of Tennessee; at least 1 year of experience in pre-op or holding areas, or surgical recovery; experience with IV starts, moderate sedation, getting surgical patients ready for surgery, and providing phase 2 recovery.
Additional Information: Must possess skills in IV starts, moderate sedation; experienced with nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters; capable of working within unit-specific policies and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced procedures performed on the unit, such as nerve blocks or arterial lines.
