Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position is based in a busy maternity unit within a regional medical center. The role involves caring for obstetric patients through high-risk OB procedures and protocols, administering medication infusions such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, and performing tasks including starting IVs and completing phlebotomy. The nurse will work collaboratively within a supportive, patient-centered team, providing excellent care in a fast-paced environment. Leadership support is available during day shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience with high-risk obstetrics; proficiency in starting IVs; current certifications as applicable; 0 years of minimum relevant experience; work location in a hospital setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with medication infusions including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate; knowledge of OB protocols; ability to work independently and as part of a team; good communication skills.
• Additional Information: Unit procedures include handling medication infusions, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, and providing remote telehealth support. Teamwork, dependability, and a strong work ethic are essential. Leadership support is available during both day and night shifts.
