Job Summary:
Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) position is available on the 2nd floor of a facility staffed with a 31-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations. This role involves providing care to patients with post vascular, post coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), cerebrovascular accident (CVA), respiratory failure, heart failure, chest pain, and post cath lab conditions. The position offers a guaranteed 36 hours per week with a schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 1900-0700, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; ADN or BSN degree; one year of experience in critical care stepdown or progressive care units; valid licensure to practice as an RN in the applicable location
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac drips, chest tubes, and a background in critical care stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing; knowledge of TR bands and post procedural care
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes Baxter intravenous pumps and occasional epidural pumps; Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in use is Meditech; candidates should demonstrate a kind, respectful, team-oriented, punctual, and flexible personality fit.
