Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in an acute care environment. This role involves assisting with outpatient and inpatient cases across multiple service lines, including major orthopedics, neuro, trauma, robotics, and other specialized surgical procedures. The position requires strong experience in orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and robotics surgeries, with a preference for candidates with at least five years of relevant experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, with a weekly minimum of 40 hours, including days, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and 8-12 hours on-call shifts, with a 30-minute response time.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, completion of a Registered Nurse program, or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program; OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with two (2) years of previous scrub experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong orthopedic (total knee/hip), neuro, trauma, and robotic (DaVinci) experience, with a total of five (5) years of relevant surgical experience.
• Additional Information: The position involves working in a Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 Poly Trauma response across various service lines, including orthopedics, neuro, surgical oncology, urology, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, and others. Outpatient cases are primarily performed on the 2 West unit, especially for candidates with ambulatory experience. The role includes weekly call responsibilities with a response time of 30 minutes.
