Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a high-risk labor and delivery unit. The role involves providing comprehensive patient assessment, delivering competent clinical care, documentation, patient education, and ensuring safety standards. The RN will support pre-operative and postoperative assessments, adapt care to individual patient needs, and collaborate effectively within the perioperative team. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage high patient census in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; RN license; ACLS certification; BLS certification; 0 years of experience minimum.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of surgical conditions and procedures; individualize patient care according to procedures and anesthesia; ability to function effectively in a high-risk labor and delivery unit; management of high patient census; familiarity with National Patient Safety Goals, safe transfer techniques, and body mechanics; proficiency in patient assessment, emergency equipment operation, and documentation; knowledge of policies and procedures; strong patient satisfaction focus; confidentiality adherence.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be competent in assessing patients, operating emergency equipment, documenting accurately, and providing education for pre and post-operative care. Experience with pre-admission testing evaluation and managing high-risk labor and delivery cases is highly desirable.
