Description

Job Summary:
Utilization Review Specialist in an outpatient setting. This in-person role requires proficiency in EPIC and InterQual systems for clinical review and medical necessity determination. The position offers scheduled daytime shifts from 8 a.m. with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/05/2026 and end on 01/04/2027.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Shift hours are 8 a.m. start, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in CPR from the American Heart Association, current California State License in-hand (EMSA not accepted), and EPIC experience documented in work history. A minimum of 1 year of clinical review or utilization review experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with InterQual criteria is highly valued. Experience in acute hospital or outpatient settings is desirable.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have a CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute in-hand when applying. A minimum of two supervisor references are required. The position requires adherence to RTO policies, with no RTO within the first two weeks and a maximum of 7 days per contract. All certifications and licensing must be current and in-hand at the time of application. Candidates should be comfortable with self-reporting module hours and completing required training during orientation or at home.
