Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular at a healthcare facility. This position involves night shift work and requires candidates to have previous experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units with pod zero open hearts, as well as experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella devices. The role demands strong organizational, leadership, and clinical assessment skills in a high-stakes environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- End Date: 12/26/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district, CVICU experience with a minimum of 2 years, and proficiency with POD 0 Open Hearts, IABP, and Impella devices. Certifications include NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong organizational and leadership skills, ability to analyze and assess patient conditions accurately, thorough knowledge of arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics, and effective communication skills for a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Information: Candidates must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility. Call rotation is required. The position involves critical patient care duties in a cardiovascular ICU setting, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, assessment, and intervention.
