Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Portland, Maine. This assignment involves providing surgical nursing care specializing in gynecology and genitourinary procedures at a Level One trauma center. The role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, demonstrating expertise in surgical nursing practices, patient care, and technical skills across a broad range of surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum of 2 years of experience, Level 1 trauma experience, proficiency in robotics (Da Vinci Xi), and surgical procedures including PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies.
• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves working with a broad patient demographic, with a focus on surgical nursing in an operating room setting equipped with advanced equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and the Intuitive Robot. The ideal candidate will be flexible, accountable, timely, and a teamplayer, adhering to hospital scrubs policy and dress code.
