Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart (OH) specialty position located in a medical facility. This role involves assisting with surgical procedures in a dedicated operating room environment, focusing on cardiovascular surgeries. The position requires flexibility for call shifts, weekend work, and holiday coverage, with assignments starting on 10/12/2026 and concluding on 01/11/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license or certification relevant to operating room and open heart procedures; candidates must have completed perioperative (PeriOp) 101 training and possess orthopedic and trauma experience. Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) need to be certified and have orthopedic and trauma experience; no prior experience is mandatory.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in performing orthopedic and trauma procedures; those with additional certifications or specialized training will be considered first.
• Additional Information: The unit has 10 operating rooms staffed with both day and night shift RNs and technicians. Typical procedures include orthopedic and trauma surgeries. The team emphasizes personnel with adaptable personalities suitable for fast-paced surgical environments. Dress code involves scrub attire, with unit policies and guidelines available upon request. Weekend and on-call shifts are required as part of the schedule.
