Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) nurses are needed for a hospital setting located in the area. This role involves providing specialized neurological critical care to patients with conditions such as stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, brain tumors, and increased intracranial pressure. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex neurological cases and titratable drips in a busy ICU environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Not specified
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 09/28/2026 through 12/27/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, pass ECG exam on day 2, 2 years of ICU experience, familiarity with stroke and neurological patient care, ability to read telemetry strips, and experience with titratable drips such as Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Phenylephrine, and Dopamine.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neurocritical care units, familiarity with Phillips telemonitors, and ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment.
  • Float: First to Float, float to MSICU, PCCU, and take care of Boarders up to four patients.
  • On-call: Not applicable
  • Holiday Expectations: One major holiday and one minor holiday per year (Major: Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day, Thanksgiving; Minor: Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day)
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing high-acuity neurological ICU patients, including stroke and other cerebrovascular conditions, with responsibilities including titrating set-rate drips and reading telemetry strips. Epic access is required for documentation and patient monitoring.
