Description

Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (Specialty: ORT CERT) position is located in an organization seeking a dedicated surgical technologist with Labor & Delivery experience. The role involves supporting surgical procedures, particularly cesarean sections (C/S), in a labor and delivery setting. The technician will assist the surgical team by preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation, ensuring a smooth operative process.

Job Details:

Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from an accredited program or degree from an accredited nursing program; BLS certification; 2 years of scrubbing experience in Labor & Delivery; High School diploma or equivalency; good communication skills; must reside within 50 miles of the facility
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in conducting cesarean sections (C/S) and familiarity with labor and delivery procedures
Additional Information: The surgical technician will be responsible for case cleanup, patient positioning, moving patients, and room turnovers. The role requires knowledge of surgical procedures, readiness to anticipate surgical needs, and assist in all aspects of the surgical process to meet patient care standards.
