Description

Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in an Acute Care setting specializing in Labor & Delivery. This role involves scrub duties for cesarean sections (C/S) as a primary procedure, with a focus on assisting the surgical team throughout various surgical procedures. The technician will ensure all supplies, equipment, and instrumentation are prepared and available, and will assist in patient positioning, room turnover, and case cleanup.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalency; Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program; 2 years of scrubbing experience in Labor & Delivery; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cesarean sections (C/S) procedures in Labor & Delivery settings; Knowledge of surgical supplies and instrumentation management
Additional Information: The role requires working within the standards of the organization to meet patient care needs in the Labor & Delivery department. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of the facility location.
