Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialist Open Heart Location unspecified. This position involves providing surgical support for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures within an acute care setting. The role starts in late October and extends through January, offering a dynamic environment with opportunities for extended contracts. The assigned clinician will be accountable for work shifts, call duties, and adhering to hospital protocols in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association), minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery; prior travel experience preferred but not required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within other services of the facility.
- Additional Information: Clinicians will onboard at one location for at least a week before transferring to the main facility. The role includes mandatory call responsibilities, with a response time of 30 minutes. Scrub attire is hospital-provided, with ceil blue surgical scrubs. The position requires the use of the EPIC charting system and does not require a BSN or license to submit. The shift start date is 10/19/2026, with an end date of 01/18/2027.
