Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Burn (ICU Burn) Registered Nurse position available in a specialized critical care setting. This role involves caring for critically ill patients with burn injuries, requiring proficiency in managing complex cases, titrating drips, and utilizing advanced ventilator equipment. The position offers opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment focusing on comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), ICU experience, experience with titrating drips, patients on ventilators, and EMR proficiency in Meditech; no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience, transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver)
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • Unit is equipped with ventilators, CRRT, arterial lines, Bipap, Flow-track, and IV pumps
  • Patient ratios are approximately 2:1
  • Typically staffed with a charge nurse plus RNs according to census, no techs
  • Caring for critically ill patients with total patient management including turning, dressing changes, trach care, and titrating drips
  • Compassionate personalities who work well with others and have good rapport with physicians are preferred
  • Report times are at 6:45 AM and 6:45 PM with clock-in/out procedures for lunch
  • Rotating weekends and on-call shifts
