Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician position located in the OR department. This role involves supporting cardiac surgeries by preparing and handling instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and adhering to hospital policies to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency. The technician will work collaboratively with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes three consecutive days, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend, and holiday requirements as needed. On-call duties are required after 90 days.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or appropriate training program; Surgical Technician Certification; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac operating room; ability to scrub in cardiac surgery; experience with CABG, MVR/AVR, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, aneurysms, ECCO/Impella, and lead extractions; must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, push and pull 400 pounds, and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CABG, MVR/AVR, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, aneurysms, ECCO/Impella, and lead extractions.
• Additional Information: The role includes handling instruments according to standard policies, maintaining accurate records, controlling contamination, participating in team planning, and adjusting care based on patient needs. Scrubbing in cardiac surgery is required, and scrubs will be provided.
