Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, ER, Madison, WI This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level IV Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Center. The role requires delivering urgent assessment, stabilization, and treatment to diverse patient populations, including both adults and pediatrics, in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Location: Madison, WI
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years, Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license, certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), TNCC, and telemetry testing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or II experience, community hospital experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Responsibilities: Rapid assessment and treatment of emergency conditions such as trauma, stroke, cardiac emergencies, respiratory issues, and mental health crises; management of invasive lines, patient stabilization, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams; documentation and adherence to protocols.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, RN license.
• Additional Requirements: Pass telemetry test prior to start, pass/fail criteria apply with two attempts, pass adult and pediatric cardiac interpretation tests.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Management of complex trauma and emergent conditions, including intubation, arterial line care, medication administration, and patient stabilization in a high-volume emergency department.
• Submittal Requirements: All submittals must be complete, including proof of certification and successful telemetry testing.
