Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse (RN) Nights 10/26/2026 to 02/15/2027. This position is located within a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing excellent patient care, with responsibilities including managing various surgical and medical conditions such as ostomy, colon resection, and cancer patients. The nurse must demonstrate strong documentation skills, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2 years of medical-surgical experience, BLS, ACLS certifications, and proficiency in Med/Surg, Telemetry (remote monitoring), colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, and PCA.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting systems, knowledge of Telemetry, Relias EKG exam passing, and ability to manage drips such as Heparin, Lidocaine, Bicarb, Bivaldirubin, Amiodarone, along with handling PCAs, Epidurals, and CBIs.
• Additional Information: The unit handles high-turnover surgery patients with various diagnoses, including colon and bladder cancers. Candidates must be able to pass the Relias EKG exam and interpret/manage dysrhythmias. Basic Telemetry knowledge is preferred, and the candidate must be available for orientation at the designated location.
• License Information: MO license or compact required; IL license in hand at time of submission. No local candidates within 75 miles accepted.
• Travel & Contract Details: Contract dates from 10/26/2026 to 02/15/2027, with an expectation of floating within the service line. No RTO requests exceeding 7 days are permitted.
• Other Requirements: Must pass compliance deadlines, fit testing, and complete required modules prior to start date.
