Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia across pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including rotating day shifts and on-call responsibilities, to ensure optimal patient care and unit operations.
Job Details
- Schedule: This is a days position with shifts varying between rotating 2x8 (07:00-15:30) and 2x10 (07:00-17:30). The hours of the PACU are 07:30-20:30, and nurses may be scheduled at any time within these hours.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license in MD or a Compact license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, PALS certification, at least 2 years of experience, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, trauma level I or II experience, and community hospital experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.
- Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults.
- Additional Information: Must have an active MD or a Compact license, and be comfortable floating within scope to other units and sister facilities. This position includes required on-call shifts, working three shifts in a four-week period, with scheduled days and holidays as per unit needs. Flexibility for rotating shifts and floating responsibilities is mandatory.
