Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Night Shift Location varies. This position involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population on a busy medical surgical unit. The role requires strong clinical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Extra shifts may be available, and scheduling flexibility is considered.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, NIHSS certification required for all RNs and LPNS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical surgical nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system, knowledge of telemetry monitoring, and proficiency in managing a variety of patient conditions including CP, CHF, pneumonia, post-operative care, pediatric patients, detox, and surgical patients.
• Additional Information: The unit provides care for a wide range of medical and surgical patients, excluding laboring moms and patients requiring titrated cardiac or insulin drips. Floating to other units may be required, with clear orientation provided. Cpap and Bipap equipment are used continuously; RT will assist with management during shifts. The orientation includes tours and discussions with the management team, spanning 3-5 days.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
