Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery registered nurse position situated in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care for obstetric patients, including antepartum, high-risk, and postpartum care. The position requires working night shifts and supporting patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, with a focus on high-risk obstetric cases and neonatal care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN-Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-risk obstetrics, triage, surgical admission, and recovery. Ability to titrate drips such as Pitocin and Insulin.
• Responsibilities include circulating in high-risk OB, triage, and operating room settings, monitoring fetal systems, and supporting neonatal units.
• Additional information: The unit manages antepartum, postpartum, and OR beds, with an on-site OB/Neonatologist 24/7, and advanced practice providers available around the clock. Equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPap is available in the NICU.
• Certifications include ACLS, AWHONN-Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, and NRP.
• The unit requires hospital scrubs and offers a unit-specific orientation. The healthcare facility can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts if less than 13 weeks.
• System used for charting: EPIC.
• Licensure: A valid license is required to submit, and the provider is willing to wait for licensure processing.
• This position is located in an acute care setting, with shift notes indicating weekend and holiday requirements, as well as call or standby duties. Floating within the unit is not required.
