Description

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Fargo, ND. This position involves providing patient care in a 32-bed acute care unit specializing in cardiac and general medical-surgical cases. The nurse will be responsible for assessments, documentation, medication administration, and collaborating with the healthcare team across multiple units within the hospital.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour days, weekends only. Will consider straight nights, weekends only; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active ND or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience within a large hospital setting. BLS (American Heart Association) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience.
  • Cardiac experience highly preferred but not required. Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system, Omnicell medication system, and Alaris IV pumps.
  • Must be willing to float to all units/locations within Fargo as needed.
  • No experience required for certain certifications; candidates must have completed necessary licensure and certifications prior to start.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

  • Unit notes specify the importance of experience within a large hospital environment and the ability to float across units.
  • Bed size for the unit is 32 beds, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 on day shift and 5-6:1 on night shift.
  • Scrub color required: Navy Blue.
  • The main unit will be 6CD, but coverage may be needed across other medical-surgical units in multiple hospital locations.
  • The candidate must badge in and out at the facility.
  • Previous employment with the same healthcare provider must be disclosed and include an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
  • The assignment duration is from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027.
