Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a Level 1 Maternity and Well-Baby Nursery setting. The role requires thorough experience in obstetric and neonatal care, supporting high-risk pregnancies, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Job Details

Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Education and Experience Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) license, with a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital acute experience in a labor and delivery setting. Must have recent EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the last year.
Location Requirements: Candidate must have a valid drivers license at time of submission.
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The unit has 13 labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum beds, along with two OR suites for C-Sections, and three triage beds. The department attends approximately 50 births per month and follows AWHONN staffing standards. All clinicians are required to read their own fetal monitor tracings and properly utilize OBTV GE monitors with Phillips software. Orientation is 2.5 days on the unit with a preceptor, and clinical competency must be completed before working independently. The unit operates with a minimal staffing of three RNs including a charge nurse, one Baby Advocate RN, and one scrub tech.
