Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in Colorado. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, with responsibilities including patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse must be adaptable to float to other units as needed and demonstrate strong clinical skills and knowledge of telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate degree required, bachelors degree preferred; current state Registered Nurse Licensure within Colorado; compact license accepted, Colorado License must be obtained within the first 90 days of hire; current BLS Certification; current PALS Certification within 6 months of hire (can be obtained at the facility); current ACLS Certification; successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year ICU/Inpatient experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including patients with DKA, cardiac conditions, sepsis, surgical cases, and high risk of decline. No parking costs and scrub colors are specified. The nurse will assist in procedures, monitor patient status, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards. The position may involve floating to other units, including Family Birthing, Procedural Sedation, and Neonatal Care, among others, based on operational needs.
