Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in Iowa. This role involves circulating and scrub responsibilities in a busy Level I trauma center with multiple service lines, including cardiac, neuro, trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, transplant, general, and pediatrics. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with advanced surgical equipment, including Da Vinci robotic systems, and requires flexibility to float across various campuses.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour night shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Iowa or multistate nursing license, active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, 24 months of current operating room experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized), experience in general, Da Vinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular cases. Experience with EPIC electronic medical systems within the previous 3 years is required. Trauma Level I experience is highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma Level II, scrub experience, and experience with the listed case types.

• Additional Information:
  • The unit consists of 16 OR suites running from 12 to 14 concurrently.
  • Use of Stealth technology for neuro navigation and Synthes or Stryker equipment for ortho trauma surgeries.
  • The role includes weekend on-call duties from the end of shift on Friday until 6:30 AM Monday, but no scheduled on-call shifts otherwise.
  • No first-time travelers; candidates must have completed a travel assignment within the last 9 months.
  • Will be required to float across all campuses within the organization.
  • Holiday work requirement includes 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
