Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse position available in a healthcare organization located in Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing thoracic procedures, including lung and esophageal surgeries, in a Magnet-designated facility. The position requires critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to manage complex patient needs.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, WI RN or compact RN license.
• Education Requirements: Not specified.
• Degree Requirements: Not specified.
• Location Requirements: Must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty submitted to.
• Years of Experience: 2 years.
• Schedule: Day/Eve, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include caring for thoracic surgery patients such as lung and esophageal disease cases, assisting with chest tube insertions, managing cardiac telemetry, and providing comprehensive postoperative care.
• Additional clinical skills required include arterial line management, vent management, blood product administration, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• The candidate must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to employment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submittal requirements include passing the telemetry test in two attempts, with a possible review course submission if needed.
