Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) nursing position is located on the West Main campus within a healthcare organization that provides comprehensive surgical care. The role involves scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical procedures including general, robotics, transplants, orthopedics, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head and neck), gynecology, urology, organ procurement, and trauma cases. The successful candidate will support inpatient level I trauma surgery with a focus on patient safety and surgical excellence during day shifts.

Job Details:

• Shift: Day shift, 10 hours per day, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with up to two weekends per month. Shifts may include call (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekends and holidays) or working shifts.
• Schedule: 10 hours daily, 40 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/09/2027.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, MA (Massachusetts) license, experience in neuro, orthopedics, trauma, and kidney transplant procedures. Scrub and/or circulate experience in general surgery, robotics, transplants, neuro, spine, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma surgery.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgery and organ procurement.
• Additional Information: The position primarily involves operating room duties including scrub and circulating in a busy surgical environment with a Focus on Inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery. Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the 13-week assignment, and RTO requests must be approved in advance. Orientation sessions are held weekly, typically on Mondays. No local travelers accepted, as candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. The role may be based on the West Main campus or floated to other OR locations as needed.
