Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department Registered Nurse position located in a clinical setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The nurse will provide holistic care, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and professional nursing standards, utilizing specialized knowledge and clinical judgment to support positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification. Experience in the Labor and Delivery department or related clinical area. No minimum experience required beyond demonstrating competency in obstetric nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field. Professional certification in obstetric or maternal-child health preferred.
- Additional Information: Provides care to women in labor, delivery, and postpartum settings, including assessment, administration of medications, monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, and supporting patients and families through childbirth. Participates in patient education and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver safe, timely, and effective care.
