Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) specializing in high-risk obstetrics, located in a womens hospital setting. The role involves participating in high-acuity obstetric care, including magnesium and insulin drips, fetal monitoring, and high-risk procedures, within a busy unit characterized by a team-oriented environment. The assignment spans four weeks with a start date in late October 2026.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) all must be included in the submission packet. At least one year of travel experience in high-risk obstetrics.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in obstetric emergency department (OBED), high-risk obstetric care, and high-volume settings are preferred.
  • Additional Information: The unit features 23 beds with high-risk obstetric care involving magnesium and insulin drips, fetal monitoring, circulating, and scrub duties. The team includes experienced staff such as Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Surgical Technicians (CSTs). On-call is required once every 4 weeks, and floating within the womens' health department may be necessary.
