Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare organization. This role involves delivering quality patient care by performing assessments, developing care plans, and supervising ancillary staff. The RN ensures patient safety, coordinates discharge planning, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team within a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS Certification prior to first shift; Active ACLS Certification prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum of two years bedside clinical experience valued; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent; passed NCLEX-RN exam; located within commuting distance; 0 years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting; strong clinical assessment skills; excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Additional Information: Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Initiates discharge planning from day of admission and provides patient education accordingly. Communicates effectively regarding changes in patient status, delegates tasks appropriately, and contributes to a positive work environment through team participation. Assumes charge responsibilities after orientation and pursues ongoing professional development.
