Job Summary:
Paramedic in Aspirus Rhinelander. This contract position involves providing basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients within a 13-week assignment. The role requires clinical assessment, documentation, and intervention, primarily working on a 24-hour shift rotation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shift (11a-11a) with every other weekend as needed, including scheduled weekends on/off. Holidays as needed and available.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or certificate, successful completion of an EMS paramedic program, Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, Michigan Paramedic Certification, active Wisconsin Drivers License (in good standing), AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA or ARC Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA or ARC Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Candidates with current or prior NREMT-P certification may be eligible for Michigan licensure through reciprocity.
• Preferred Qualifications: Wisconsin Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Endorsement (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of one year paramedic experience required, with three years preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Start date: 10/05/2026, end date: 01/02/2027.
  • The position may require orientation at another campus if no ALS provider is present on site, possibly at sites such as Wausau, Eagle River, or Ironwood MI.
  • No float requirement; may move to other locations in the north region based on staffing needs.
  • On-call duties may be assigned during low census hours, with a minimum of 2 hours call back pay for callbacks.
  • Charting system utilized is Zoll EMS Charts platform, with training provided.
  • Crew configurations may include EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, RN/Medic based on staffing.
