Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty nurse opportunity in a healthcare organization. The position involves circulating in cardiovascular operating room procedures, with responsibilities including providing specialized patient care during complex cardiac surgeries. The role requires a dedicated and experienced professional to support a high-acuity surgical team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure in Illinois, current CPR certification, 3+ years of core Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience as a Staff Nurse, Endovascular or Cardiac open heart experience preferred, and experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to float to main Operating Room, scrub experience in CVOR, travel-proficient skills.
• Additional Information: The assignment involves backfill coverage, with shifts that may include weekends and holidays as needed. On-call requirements include 3-4 shifts per month with a minimum 2-hour callback window, within 30 minutes of the facility. Submission of updated resume, skills checklist, two references within the last year, and active credentials is required by Thursday before start date. The candidate must also provide CBC, D-T (likely referring to diagnostic tests), and QuantiFERON Gold test results within 90 days.
