Job Summary
Palliative Care Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, WI. This position involves providing direct patient care within a 10-bed inpatient Palliative Care unit. The role requires collaborative management of complex cases with a focus on comfort and hospice care, ensuring quality care delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Position Description: Palliative Care RN responsible for taking care of patients on the Med/Surg unit with experience in Palliative Care or Hospice preferred.
Certifications, Education, and Experience: WI RN license, AHA or ARC BLS certification, an Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience with at least 1 year of inpatient Palliative Care experience preferred, and 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required.
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, guaranteed 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Responsibilities: Care for Med/Surg patients with a focus on Palliative, Comfort, and Hospice cases, utilizing Epic charting.
Additional Information: Flexibility to work in any inpatient unit, with low census hours included in the contract. Care delivery involves a team ratio of 2 RNs and 1 CNA per 10 patients, with unit staffing managed for resilience and adaptability.
