Job Summary
The infusion nursing specialty in a local healthcare facility offers an exciting opportunity for registered nurses. This role involves providing specialized infusion therapies within an outpatient oncology infusion center setting. The position requires delivering expert patient care, education, and support to patients undergoing complex treatments, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 10/27/2026 to 01/26/2027
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support), current Oncology Nursing Society certification in chemo, at least 2 years of recent oncology infusion experience, prior outpatient infusion center experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charting system Epic, previous community hospital or outpatient infusion experience
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and other infusion therapies, managing ports and PICC lines, following safety precautions for hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 guidelines, and providing patient and family education. The role involves direct patient care for adolescents and adults, with a daily census of approximately 55 patients, performing infusions, injections, and port management. The position also includes interdisciplinary support such as pharmacy, interpretation services, and unit secretaries. The assignment involves working at least every other weekend with flexibility for more staffing needs, and completing required onboarding modules during orientation.
