Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) department in a high-acuity facility. This position involves providing comprehensive care to obstetric patients, managing labor and delivery processes, and supporting neonatal recovery. The role requires strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics and the ability to function effectively within a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, from 10/19/2026 to 01/16/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certification; minimum of 2 years of obstetric nursing experience, including high-risk labor management; must have valid nursing licensure and be willing to work night shifts.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Charge Nurse, prior travel experience, strong interpersonal and educational skills, proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Responsibilities: Managing labor and delivery for high-acuity obstetric patients, interpreting fetal monitoring strips, circulating in the operating room, performing cervical checks, supporting neonatal assessments, assisting with obstetric emergencies, and providing staff education and support.
  • Support on the Unit: Includes CNA, scrub techs (LPNs NRP certified), resource RN, and support staff such as phlebotomy and RTs; orientation consists of hospital and unit training plus preceptor-led practice days.
  • Additional Notes: Scrubs provided, free parking available, no mandatory call, with options to pick up additional shifts. No floating for ANM; orientation during days for night shift staff; schedule in 6-week cycles.
