Description
Job Summary:
Labor And Delivery Nurse (L&D) in Oshkosh, WI. This position entails providing specialized care for antepartum, postpartum, laboring, and gynecological post-operative patients, primarily those 20 weeks and up. The role involves supporting various patient types and working within a Level III Trauma Center with Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) capabilities and a Primary Stroke Center. The provider will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care during night shifts to meet the needs of the facility's obstetric population.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Schedule: Weekend rotation every other weekend, with manager approval for time off (RTO). No on-call obligations. Night before and after major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are required.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 10/26/2026
- End Date: 01/16/2027
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), FHM (Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring)
- Experience with antepartum, postpartum, laboring, gynecological surgeries, circulating for C-sections, and supporting mother and infant recovery
- Education and experience: No minimum years of experience specified, but at least 5 years preferred and 0 years minimum experience required for consideration
- Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin
- Support on the Unit:
- CNA: 1:13 support ratio
- OB techs assist as scrubs during C-sections
- Charge nurse: light assignment
- Phlebotomy/RN: responsible for blood draws
- OB-GYN and Midwife on call at night
- OB-CRNA available 24/7 on weekends
- Fetal Heart Monitoring conducted at nurses station and bedside
- Unit secretary available 0800-1400
- Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, Milktraker, CPN
- Orientation: At least one shift on unit to learn flow
- Additional Notes:
- Scrub color: Procedural blues
- Parking: Free on site
- No floating required
