Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician position available in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves supporting the surgical team by preparing, sterilizing, and managing surgical instruments and supplies. The technician will operate sterilization equipment and maintain inventory in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Not specified
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 2300-0730 from Sunday to Thursday, with coverage also available Monday through Friday.
• Required Qualifications: Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certification as a Central Processing Technician (CRCST) within 18 months of hire; must be 18 years of age prior to start date; preferably two years of experience in handling and sterilization of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation within the past four years, or vocational training as Central Service Technician or Patient Care Assistant within the last two years; or at least two years of experience as a Central Service Technician or Patient Care Assistant in an acute care setting within the last five years; knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Additional Information: The role entails frequent lifting of 25 pounds or more, with occasional work above shoulder level. The candidate should demonstrate adaptability to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting, effective communication skills with diverse individuals, and be capable of operating sterilization and ultrasonic cleaning equipment. Certification as CRCST or CBSPD must be obtained by the start date.
