Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) assignment located in a large teaching facility. The position involves floating within the ICU float pool, serving patients post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma (Level 1), general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The assignment requires flexibility with scheduling, working nights shifts, and providing patient care in a fast-paced environment with diverse clinical cases.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start; CCRN preferred; at least 2 years of recent RN experience in a large teaching facility setting; ICU experience with hemodynamic devices; EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years; travel experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification, previous travel nursing experience
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required. The RN must be flexible with schedule and location within the ICU float pool, floating to units of similar skill and ability, including areas outside their primary POD, as needed
  • Additional Information:
    • Assignment duration: 16-26 weeks
    • Work 2 out of 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day
    • Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
    • Complete work history details are required for submission
    • Reliable transportation must be available, personal or rental vehicle recommended during winter months
