Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in an unspecified location will provide critical care for patients within a dynamic and fast-paced hospital environment. This assignment involves floating to various units within the ICU, requiring flexibility in scheduling, and adherence to established clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, with a scheduled minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, with bi-weekly orientations on Mondays.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by the AHA, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification are mandatory; Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is preferred; NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required, specifically with large (500+ bed capacity), teaching facilities. Prior travel experience is also necessary.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a large teaching hospital with experience in hemodynamic device management and managing patient populations post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, neurosurgery, and overflow medical intensive care units. EPIC electronic medical record experience from within the past two years is required and non-negotiable.
• Responsibilities: Float to other ICU units within the central pool, including areas outside the primary POD such as ED boarders and surge zones. Flexibility with schedule and unit assignments is essential.
