Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Specialty Nurse location not specified. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy acute care environment. The role requires strong clinical skills, experience with trauma and diverse patient populations, and familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a commitment of at least 36 hours per week over the specified assignment period.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; 2+ years of ER experience, including 1+ year in a trauma center; prior travel experience; and EPIC electronic health record system experience. No minimum experience is required beyond this.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing culturally competent care within a highly diverse patient population.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit features a 55-bed capacity plus 8-12 swing beds and 4 trauma bays. It maintains a separate triage area, psych/seclusion rooms with 24/7 monitoring, in-house security, and specific staffing ratios for main ED, fast track, and critical care. The department manages complex diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, trauma, sepsis, respiratory diseases, behavioral health, and more. The unit utilizes EPIC for charting and requires staff to perform ECGs, draw ABGs, and manage respiratory equipment. Orientation includes a first day with ED leadership, badging, and 2-3 shifts of bedside training. Located approximately 10 minutes south of Seattle, the area offers various housing options and numerous recreational activities.
