Job Summary:
Lactation Consultant (LTAC) located in an acute care environment, this position involves providing specialized lactation support to patients with complex medical needs. The role requires clinical expertise in breastfeeding and lactation management, with a focus on patient education, support, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and infants.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license with 1-2 years of experience, prior travel experience preferred; BLS certification is required, ACLS certification is preferred
• Responsibilities: Providing lactation consultations, patient assessments, education on breastfeeding techniques, handling complex cases involving medical conditions affecting breastfeeding, and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop care plans
• Additional Information: Orientation sessions occur every Monday. Candidates must have experience with complex patient populations, and ability to work independently while following unit-specific procedures. Profiles should be clear and complete, including details of experience with breastfeeding support in medical or critical care settings.
