Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in an acute care setting within the organization. This role involves providing specialized critical care services to patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, arrhythmias, overdose, detoxification, and other complex medical needs. The position requires delivering exceptional patient care within a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM; minimum 36 hours per week. Extra shifts may be available, with flexibility for block scheduling based on candidate preferences.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, current certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Must possess an unexpired drivers license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICU titratable and set rate drips such as propofol, cardizem, insulin, precedex, levo, etc., and ability to read telemetry strips.
• Additional Information: Unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 2, utilizing all advanced monitoring equipment including ventilators, Cpap, Boardable BiPap, etc. RNs are expected to monitor and interpret telemetry strips and participate in unit training and orientation, including tour and policy discussions. Float to Medical Surgical units may be required during low census periods.
