Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Bakersfield. This role involves delivering specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a fast-paced, acute care environment. The position requires supervising and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of fragile infants.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/10/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, and STABLE certification. No minimum years of experience required.
  • Essential Functions: Collects relevant data on neonatal patients, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, coordinates multidisciplinary care, evaluates progress, and participates in discharge planning. Provides educational support to families and team members, delegates tasks appropriately, and performs other related duties.
  • Additional Information: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required. This position involves working in a critical care setting focused on neonatal patients.
