Description
Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is located in a birthing unit within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care during labor, birth, and postpartum, with options for 36, 40, or 48 hours per week on the night shift. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of maternal and neonatal patients through competent clinical practice.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift with options for 36, 40, or 48 hours per week; nights are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM for 36-hour shifts, or equivalent hours depending on selected schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), with recent Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience at least at an intermediate level. A minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in labor and delivery is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics, Perinatal Nursing Certification (Maternal Newborn Nursing - Level I, Postpartum, or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing - Labor and Birth), and First Latch (breastfeeding certification).
- Additional Information: Candidates should be adaptable to flexible schedules and capable of providing high-quality patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
