Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse is valued for providing comprehensive, high-quality patient care within a specialized cardiac intensive care environment. This role involves applying evidence-based nursing practices to monitor, assess, and address the needs of critically ill cardiovascular patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details:
- Location: The healthcare provider's facility offers a dynamic and supportive environment for qualified ICU professionals.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nurse licensing in the state (NYS RN License), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), at least 2 years of ICU experience including 2 years of experience on a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU), minimum of 1 year travel nursing experience (not required for Per Diem positions), and experience with Electronic Medical Records system (EPIC) highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high reliability practices, patient care documentation, process improvement initiatives, and inventory management within ICU settings.
- Additional Information: This role requires the ability to perform charge nurse duties, coordinate supply and staffing needs, and contribute to quality improvement projects. Clinical competence in critical care nursing with a focus on cardiac patient care is essential. The position duration spans from 10/26/2026 to 01/23/2027, with a commitment to continuous professional development and excellent clinical collaboration.
