Job Summary:
Suburban Hospital Utilization Review/Quality Assurance (UR QA) Nurse is a clinical professional responsible for reviewing safety events, performing chart audits, root cause analyses, and validating abstracted metrics. The position involves supporting various quality improvement projects, preparing reports for quality committees and councils, and contributing to external reporting efforts. The role is in person and scheduled for daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Location: Bethesda, MD
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, 3 years RN experience in Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Peri-Operative, or Medical/Surgical settings; quality improvement or patient safety experience; EPIC experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 travel assignments.
• Additional Information: The position requires reviewing safety events and analyzing clinical data, performing root cause analyses, validating metrics, and supporting various quality improvement projects. Drafting reports for compliance committees and other operational teams is also part of the responsibilities. The assignment duration is approximately 13 weeks with the possibility of extension. The start date is 10/12/2026, with an end date of 01/09/2027.
• Previous employment with any health system facility related to Johns Hopkins must be disclosed on the coversheet and work history, including any prior staff, PRN, or travel roles. Candidates must be away from such facilities for at least one full year before applying as a traveler.
