Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nursing in Carlsbad. This position involves general skilled nursing duties at the skilled nursing facility level, providing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. The assignment is for day shifts, with floating and call responsibilities as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: One year minimum experience required, two or more years preferred; BLS certification; valid fingerprint clearance in New Mexico; current licensure in the state; no minimum experience specified.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Med/Surg or rehab settings, familiarity with MedHost electronic medical record system, flexible and adaptable to floating assignments.
• Additional Information:
  • No on-call schedule for Med-Surg; on-call only for census flex prior to shift if census is low.
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:8.
  • Scrub color is flexible.
  • This is a contractor replacement position.
  • Position start date is 10/26/2026, with an end date of 01/25/2027.
  • Fingerprints are required; only submit candidates from agencies registered with the state of New Mexico.
