Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Nurse position available in a general medical-surgical inpatient nursing unit. Located in a healthcare facility, this role involves providing general medication administration duties with occasional non-critical pediatric patient care. The position is scheduled for days, with the potential for floating and call responsibilities as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); two or more years of experience in medical-surgical nursing; ability to obtain fingerprints required for all travelers in New Mexico; no minimum experience requirement specified
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred
• Additional Information:
  • No on-call schedule for Med-Surg; on-call only for census flex before shift if census is low
  • Patient ratio: 1:6
  • Blocked scheduling may be accommodated, must be included in the body of the submission
  • 48-hour guarantees may be accommodated, must be included in the body of the submission
  • Scrub color: Any color
  • EMR system: MedHost
  • Fingerprints for all New Mexico travelers are required, and the process can take several weeks
  • Position is a vacant role created due to a vacancy
