Job Summary:
Telemetry Nursing Specialist for a healthcare organization. This position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical responsibilities in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, along with health teaching, counseling, and executing delegated medical functions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour night shifts from 1900 to 0730; weekly minimum of 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: - ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree from an accredited School of Nursing or higher. - Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. - BLS (American Heart Association) certification. - ACLS (American Heart Association) certification. - NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification. - Minimum of 1+ years of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors degree of Nursing. - Certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
• Float: Float to other Telemetry units, Orthopedic Surgical Trauma, and acuity adaptable units (step down units with patients such as insulin drips and sepsis patients).
• Additional Information: - Provides therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly or through consultation and delegation. - Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed. - Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. - Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. - May be required to float to other departments based on business needs and to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts. - Responsible for health data assessment, health teaching, health counseling, and patient referral.
