Job Summary:
Performing as a registered nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a healthcare facility, this role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia. The position requires strong assessment skills, peri-operative education, and recognition of post-anesthesia and post-operative complications. The assignment is scheduled for day shifts, with a typical schedule of 4 days per week, 10 hours each day, and includes shared on-call responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum two years of experience in outpatient surgery units such as SSSU (Same Day Surgery/Short Stay Surgery Unit), PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), Pre-operative, or Post-operative care; charge nurse experience preferred; no specific education requirements listed
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong skills in peri-operative assessment, recognizing anesthesia and surgical complications, and experience with outpatient care settings
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The nursing care duties include floating across outpatient services including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pre-operative Clinic. Responsibilities involve peri-operative assessment, patient education, and managing recovery from anesthesia. The position starts on 10/12/2026 and concludes on 01/11/2027.
