Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) at a healthcare facility. This position involves delivering high-volume obstetric care, primarily caring for newborns and expecting mothers. The RN will be responsible for providing quality patient care, including circulating during deliveries, in a Level 3B Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and working in a postpartum (PP) and pediatric (Peds) unit. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications:
Certifications: BLS; NRP; CERT-FHM (will accept intermediate or advanced)
Licenses: RN license (Compact accepted)
Experience: 2 years of labor and delivery experience with recent high-volume deliveries (close to 2500 deliveries annually, totaling roughly 45,000 to 47,000 deliveries over the duration of employment)
Certifications in neonatal resuscitation and fetal monitoring are required
EPIC electronic medical record experience is required
Previous travel experience is preferred
Additional qualifications include circulating experience during deliveries and proficiency in managing low acuity infants in a Level 3B NICU. -
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent high-volume delivery experience, familiarity with EPIC EMR, prior travel experience. -
Additional Information:
The candidate must be able to float between postpartum, pediatrics, and neonatal units as needed. No float rotation is required for this assignment. The RN should have recent high-volume delivery experience and proficiency in neonatal and fetal monitoring.
